The holiday season is the best. Bright lights, meals with loved ones, and most importantly, new shoes. Jordan Brand knows this, and has made it a point to always drop some of the most highly anticipated sneakers during the year-end festive periods. Here’s what the brand has in store for the ladies.
Utility Pack
Jordan Brand puts a fresh spin on its iconic Jordan 1 silhouette with four iterations in the Utility Pack. Consisting of an Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 1 Rebel XX, Air Jordan 1 High Zip and an Air Jordan 1 jester, the pack is inspired by flight utility. The shoes are comprised of colors tan, brown, and olive as well as some sherpa-style fleece that creates a cozy, 3D effect. Pops of pink, Volt Green and Volt Yellow ensure that our attention stays on the upper of the sneaker, definitely one for when temperatures drop.
Air Jordan 1 “Rookie of the Year”
The only pair in the collection that will be available in unisex sizing, the Air Jordan 1 “Rookie of the Year” has been one of the most anticipated sneaker releases of the year. The shoe, which comes in a Gold Harvest and black colorway, is inspired by the infamous shirt Michael Jordan wore to the Rookie of the Year acceptance ceremony. There are some unique details on this sneaker such as the detached ankle flaps (a feature also seen on Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Collaborations) and MJ’s 1985 season statistics and a quote by him can be found on each ankle flap. The red Nike Air tag on the tongue pops from an otherwise brown and black colorway.
Air Jordan 1 High Premium “Racer Blue”
The Air Jordan 1 will always be a timeless silhouette and this time Jordan Brand has added a premium touch to it. For the Air Jordan Women’s Holiday collection, they replace the leather and replace it with a soft buck upper in a glorious Racer Blue. The metal wings logo has been added on the side for premium detailing.
Air Jordan Rebel “Concord”
The final Air Jordan 1 related sneaker of the collection, Jordan Brand takes the Air Jordan Rebel and slaps the Concord colorway on it. made famous by the Air Jordan 11, the Concord colorway is a black and white with an icy sole, however for the Air Jordan Rebel, they make use of regular leather instead of patent leather on the black portions.
Air Jordan 4 NRG “Fire Red” or “Singles Day”
Releasing on November 11th, aka 11/11, hence the nickname “Singles Day”, The Air Jordan 4 NRG comes in a full Fire Red colorway with a gum sole. The coolest thing about this sneaker is, after wear and tear, a second layer which bears an ornamental design will reveal itself over time. Whether done intentionally or naturally, that second layer is bound to give each sneaker its own personality.
Air Jordan 11 “Olive Lux”
To round up the collection, we have the annual Air Jordan 11 release for the holiday season. This year, the ladies will receive a Soft Green suede upper with a translucent gum sole. There is a printed serial number on the insole as well as a metal Jumpman logo, aglets, and deubré. A very premium Air Jordan 11.
