The Air Max 90 isn’t the only retro celebrating its big milestone this year. Nike has been subtly celebrating the Air Max 95’s 25th anniversary with a notable collaboration with Comme des Garçons, which has been seen on the feet of icons like Drake and Joe La Puma. Now, Nike is retro-ing the very colorway that made the silhouette a fan favorite, the Air Max 95 OG Neon Yellow. The sneaker is set to return on December 17.
Just like the Air Max 90, the Air Max 95 is being retro-ed for the first time since 2015 and is expected to be an accurate recreation of the OG sneaker. The sneaker gets the black midsole that is complemented with a gradient suede upper that stretches up to the neon lace eyelets.
Like the original, neon accents appear on the outsole. The bright hits of color outline the lugs in the forefoot and the plate that stretches from the midfoot to the heel. Technical information about the air unit pressures lines the plate.
Other neon accents appear in the air units in the midsole, embroidered Swoosh in the heel and Air Max tongue tab. Completing the recreation is a grey suede mudguard at the forefoot.
The Air Max 95 “Neon Yellow” drops on December 17.
