Nike Air Max Day 2021 falls on March 26 annually and brings with it a whole series of drops to Singapore. Besides the introduction of the brand new Air Max Pre-Day, Nike is set to unveil a new batch of Air Max 90 “Bacon”, Air Vapormax Evo and Air Max 1. View the full list below.
Model: Air Max Pre-Day “Liquid Lime”
Approx. price: S$209
The Nike Air Max Pre-Day references classic walking sneakers, but are fitted with Air Max technology to add a spring to your step.
Sustainably made: The Pre-Day has a specially designed upper that minimizes material waste and is made out of at least 20% recycled content by weight.
The Air unit is actually from iconic silhouettes like the Air Max 1, Air Max 90 and many early Air Jordans but left completely exposed, sandwiched between the foam underfoot and outsole.
Retro design cues: The upper is directly inspired by sneakers like the Daybreak and sports an era-appropriate waffle outsole.

Approx. price: S$229
A mish-mash of OGs: Nike has taken iconic design elements from its 34-year-old Air Max lineup and applied those to its first ever sneaker with an exposed air unit, the Air Max 1.
In order to remain subtle on feet, this Air Max 1 borrows small signature elements from the Air Max 1 ‘University Red’, Air Max 95 ‘Neon’, Air Max 96 ‘Scream Green’ and Air Max 97 ‘Metallic Silver’.
A textbook insole: Like the Vapormax Evo, the Air Max 1 “Evolution of Icons” will come with a list showcasing all the silhouettes features in its design. However, the AM1 will have it printed on its insole.

Model: Air Max 90 “Bacon”
Approx. price: S$219
A grail returns: Nike brings back the Air Max 90 “Bacon”, an icon that was developed by sneaker concept store Dave’s Quality Meats. It dropped in 2004 and has amassed a resale value of S$981.
Dave Ortiz, the founder of Dave’s Quality Meats, revealed on the Complex Sneakers Podcast that the design for the Air Max 90 was a last-minute decision inspired by the bacon he saw at a grocery aisle. He took a color chart to the cured meat to get the perfect mix of pink, browns and cream to recreate the look of bacon.
As good as the OG: You can expect the same quality of construction as seen on OG pairs which entails the use of high-quality leathers, mesh and suede panels all across the upper.
