Money Control also reports that Eclat Textile Co, a Taiwanese supplier known for creating high-performance sportswear for Nike, Lululemon Athletica, and Under Armour is also contributing to Amazon’s activewear venture.
The retailer’s latest apparel project is currently undergoing a trial run with both manufacturers creating a small batch of apparel to test.
This won’t be Amazon’s foray into producing its own apparel. It has previously created office clothing, jackets, and dresses under menswear label Goodthreads and womenswear line Paris Sunday.
Looks like Nike, Under Armour, and Lululemon may face some tough competition down the line – if not in terms of quality, at least in terms of price.
