The Casio G-Shock NS50 is a camouflage timepiece for the boys undergoing National Service.
According to G-Shock’s Facebook post, the watch will come dressed in a pixelized camouflage print, inspired by the uniform of the Singapore Armed Forces. The words “NS50” and “50 Years of National Service” appear on the timepiece’s strap.
As for its technical aspects, the solar powered G-Shock NS50 will retain all the typical G-Shock functions such as a stopwatch, a countdown timer, a calendar and world time options. It is also mud and water resistance (for up to 200-meters).
Retailing at S$269, the watch will be available for purchase from all G-Shock stores in Singapore beginning today, July 28. Keep in mind that the G-Shock NS50 is already sold out at Punggol Waterway Point (image below).
The Japanese brand also created a Singapore-inspired timepiece to celebrate the island’s National Day last year. Called the “G-Shock x The Majulah”, it was an all-black watch that featured the iconic Merlion head in red.
We can’t wait to see what Casio has in store for National Day next year!
