The Instagram post features a happy panda cub with no captions. Dover Street Market Ginza uploaded the post onto Instagram earlier on November 18.
Despite the lack of information, several Instagram users have taken the post as a hint for a possible Dover Street Market Chengdu store. Check out some of the comments below:
Other users claim that the store could be hinting at a collab with Japan’s oldest zoo, Ueno Zoo. Why panda? Well, Ueno Zoo saw the birth of a new panda cub earlier on June 24 this year.
A quick search revealed no Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Weibo page for a Dover Street Market China, Dover Street Market Chengdu, or Dover Street Market Hong Kong store.
If the news proves to be true, this will be the second DSM store to open in China after I.T. Market Beijing. The I.T. Market was created in partnership with Bape Store Beijing and was launched in December 30, 2011.
With scarce information, it looks like we’ll have to wait for more information to come. As always, check back with Straatosphere for updates you can count on.
