Footwear drops: La Flame finally drops his divisive sneaker this week

The highly anticipated Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 is finally coming to Singapore.

Alongside the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270, the classic AJ13 “Flint Grey”, a new retro-inspired Boost sneaker and a wild Air Jordan 3 are also dropping this week.

Finally, after a bunch of delays caused by Covid-19, two of the biggest releases from Nike are dropping this week: The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 and Air Jordan 13 “Flint Grey”. Both sneakers represent the biggest moment for Nike in 2020 – the rise of Travis Scott and the popularity of MJ’s The Last Dance docuseries.

Not to be outdone, Adidas is putting a whole new spin on the retro trend. The ZX 2K Boost, also dropping this week, is an eye-catching blend of an ’80s runner design and modern comforts and technology. Scroll on down to check out this week’s releases.

Adidas ZX 2K Boost
May 29

The ZX series first debuted in the ’80s, introducing the world to Adidas’ Torsion system and Soft Cell cushioning. Today, the ZX line introduces a new execution of their proprietary Boost technology. The sneaker encases the Boost in two different molds – a firm rubber case up back and a mesh layer upfront. This brand new execution should create a very different feel. Plus, the hollowed-out midsection has never been done before.

Up top, Adidas recreated its classic wedge-like design. But instead of just sticking to mesh, the sneaker comes with sock-like construction. To really solidify its retro inspiration, the heel cap comes in an oxidized yellow hue and the upper comprises white and mint – the colors of the OG ZX sneakers.
