The wait for the Gosha Rubchinskiy x Adidas Football collection is finally over.
Gosha Rubchinskiy surprised the fashion world after announcing that he will give Paris Fashion Week a miss to stage a show in his native Russia instead. Unveiled in Kaliningrad, Rubchinskiy’s Adidas collaboration featured what Vogue terms a channeling of “Slav Style” street fashion.
The magazine also reports the collection seems to be inspired by notable Polish-Russian artist, Kazimir Malevich, a speculation formed from the designer’s use of primary colors and geometric shapes (similar to Malevich’s previous work).
Despite the anticipation around Rubchinskiy’s collaboration with Adidas, details remain scarce.
