What Happens When Street Influencers Become Grandmas?

Everyone ages. What happens when today’s street style influencers become grandmas? Well, “Grandma Gucci” is one possible interpretation.

Photo: Basement Approved

“Grandma Gucci” is a photo series that is a light-hearted social commentary on fashion’s obsession with logos and branding.

Originally featured on Basement Approved, London-based stylist Nayaab Tania visualizes how your regular grandma would look like decked out in streetwear.

An actual grandma fronted the shoot dressed up in up and coming brands like Places + Faces, Axel Arigato, and more popular ones like Supreme.

Lensed by Thai Hibbert, who has photographed for publications such as Pause and Off The Rails magazine, the shoot seems to poke fun at the logo/brand obsessiveness that is pervasive in fashion and youth culture.

Check out the photos from the set below and let us know what you think your Instagram account will look like when you’re 70.
