GUESS Originals unveils its Fall 2018 collection: stripes on stripes, ’90s logo mania, and LA vibes

The GUESS Originals Fall 2018 collection comes to Singapore on October 19.

GUESS presents sub-label GUESS Originals, a concept that takes inspiration from GUESS’ 30-year archive of contemporary and timeless designs, created from the vision of Paul Marciano. For Fall 2018, GUESS Originals sticks to what it does best and rolls out a capsule collection for men and women featuring classic stripes, logo tees, and denim jackets that ooze plenty of LA vibes.

Founded in 1981 by the Marciano brothers, GUESS only sold two dozen pairs of jeans when it was first launched at the American departmental store Bloomingdales. That changed under the creative direction of Paul Marciano whose advertising prowess catapulted GUESS into mainstream fashion consciousness and changed the way people wore denim.

The GUESS Originals line draws inspiration from vintage GUESS designs and reinterprets them in new modern styles with the use of innovative fabric and wash technologies. For Fall 2018, the Originals line delivers more retro inspired logo tees and stripes, already made popular in previous seasons, in brand new colorways.

The GUESS Originals Fall 2018 lookbook, featuring rapper Phora and model Cameron Rorrison, is shot against a backdrop of the Los Angeles skyline and the streets of Hollywood, and showcases how stripes and logos can be timeless as ever.
