Ronnie Fieg reveals his latest Air Force 1 on a magazine cover

At the end of 2019, leaks of the Kith x Nike Air Force caused quite a stir in the community.

Update: July 2, 12:00 pm (Singapore time)
Ronnie Fieg has officially taken Kith global, setting up their first flagship store overseas. Not only that, but the store is also situated in the Mecca of Asian streetwear – Tokyo, Japan. To mark this momentum occasion, they are finally releasing the Kith x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Tokyo”. These super limited sneakers will drop at the Kith Tokyo store on July 4, with a retail price of ¥15,000 (approx. S$194.52).  Check out official images of the sneaker below.

The magazine cover could be a sign that the Kith x Nike Air Force 1 will drop soon.

To have your sneaker make its debut on the cover of one of the biggest sneaker magazines is a crazy feat. Well, Ronnie Fieg has just done exactly that. His latest Kith x Nike Air Force 1 has made its first official appearance on the cover of Shoes Master Japan. What an entrance.

The Kith x Air Force 1 comes with a New York standard white leather upper. The sneaker boasts a lush red velvet sock liner with a color-matched insole – truly a striking contrast. The forefoot’s mini Swoosh, heel tab branding and tongue tab provide additional pops of red. All of these sit on top of a cream outsole.

The sneaker will come with “Kith Air” branding, replacing the usual Nike branding found on the insole and heel tab. Another bit of Kith branding can be found on the midfoot panel, where the logo forms an oblique pattern embossed on the leather.

The tongue tab could be a hint at the inspiration for the sneaker – the Japanese flag. This would explain why the sneaker is on the cover of a Japanese sneaker magazine – possibly Ronnie Fieg’s way of showing appreciation for the Japanese influence in sneaker culture.

At the moment, the sneaker has no set drop date or retail price. So, stay tuned for updates!
