Ever wondered what’s the story behind luxury label Hermès and how its relationship with leather began? Visit the Leather Forever exhibition to find out.
Luxury brand Hermès has put up a sizable showcase to celebrate its involvement with leather, the material that forms the backbone of all its products. An array of installations have been put up to bring visitors on a journey that explores the essence of leather and how it has been utilized throughout the brand’s history.
Craftsmen from the Hermès workshops in Paris will also be present to demonstrate the art of leather working, by creating some of its iconic bags on site. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the five Kellydoll bags made in honor of every decade of Singapore’s independence.
In addition to the Leather Forever exhibition, there’s also a Little Room of Wonders set up right next to the Asian Civilisations Museum. A throwback to centuries past, the room contains a curated selection of historical treasures from the late Emile Hermès’ museum in Paris.
