Earlier this month, leaks suggested that the Nike Adapt series and Air Max line were going to merge, creating a brand-new sneaker – the Nike Adapt LE 01. The leaks were mostly proven right today as Nike confirmed the release the Nike Adapt Auto Max. Here is everything you need to know about the self-lacing Air Max sneaker.
The first colorway to drop is called “Motherboard”, which is the grey and orange colorway that was originally leaked. The features are the same as before, with the sneaker sporting an Air Mag inspired upper and laces, orange Air Max 1 inspired outsole and marble-like midsole. The sneaker also has an Air Max 1 Air unit at the heel.
Encapsulated in the midsole is Nike’s FitAdapt Technology, which enables the auto-lacing and adaptive features of the sneaker. The sneaker allows you to experience classic cushioning tech and the future of lacing, all in one shoe.
The Nike Adapt Auto Max not only adapts to you but the future as well. All sneakers within the Adapt ecosystem will be updated and upgraded over time. So, Adapt sneakers will receive a bunch of new features with this release. These include voice commands, controls from the Apple watch, light customization and custom preset modes.
At the moment, the Nike Adapt Auto Max is slated to drop in Singapore in Spring 2020 in a bunch of different colorways. So stay tuned for more updates.
