Nike really likes to create sneakers that change and age over time – first with the Clot collab, then the G-Dragon Air Force 1 and most recently, the Travis Scott SB Dunk Low. The tearaway feature creates a new way for sneakerheads to interact with their kicks. Now Nike is bringing the feature to their Air Max line, and the first one out is the Nike Air Max 98 Tearaway.
The sneaker will come out of the box as a triple white sneaker. When the textured panels on the uppers wear off, they will reveal a multihued colorway of emerald green, sky blue with hints of orange, red and yellow.
The intention of the tearaway sneakers is to enable sneakerheads to express themselves and showcase their creativity. As the wrapping paper suggests, the tearaway panels can be removed in many ways – so you can customize it however you like.
The Nike Air Max 98 Tearaway is slated to drop very soon on Nike.com, so stay tuned for updates.
