A sustainable Nike SB Dunk drops this week

The Nike SB Dunk Low Crater is the next sustainable sneaker to join the “Move To Zero” line up. It drops on October 17.

The Nike Dunk is the next classic silhouette to get the Move To Zero treatment. Dubbed the Nike SB Dunk Low Crater, the sneaker is made from recycled canvas rather than leather, making the upper much thinner than that of previous SB Dunk releases. Even the typically thick, padded tongue has been flattened. This thinner construction is reminiscent of the Undefeated x Nike Dunk High NL.

Looking beyond the thinner padding, the upper bears a close resemblance to the Sashiko Pack. Like sneakers from the pack, the upper comes in a denim blue colorway, mixing light and dark blue panels. They are constructed out of recycled canvas materials, which lends the panels a speckled effect. Another similarity to the pack is the embroidered white Swoosh and Nike heel tab.

Completing the sustainable Dunk is a white midsole and Nike Grind speckled grey outsole, a design cue adapted from the Space Hippie collection. As part of the SB line up, the Dunk Low Crater will get a neon green, Zoom Air insole.
