Berlin-based sneaker store, Civilist, has another SB Dunk Low in the works and thanks to leaks on social media, we have an early look at the sneaker. The circulated videos and images show the upper on the Nike x Civilist SB Dunk Low “Thermography” changing from black to a vibrant mix of colors when exposed to heat. The resulting pattern resembles heat-maps produced by the Doppler weather radar. This heat-map like print appears on the insole as well.
Civilist has kept branding to a minimum, with their logo appearing on the insole and a small tag on the lateral swoosh.
The overall structure of the Dunk Low has remained unchanged, sporting the usual paneling on the upper, nylon tab on the plush tongue and “Nike” branding on the heel tab. Currently, we do not have details on its release.
The Nike x Civilist SB Dunk Low “Thermography” has redeemed the German brand after leaks revealed that they had created an SB Dunk Low that closely resembled a Supreme collaboration. This new heat reactive SB Dunk is creative and daring, living up to the ethos of collaborations using the skate silhouette.
