Nike and Undercover collaborate for the first time on an apparel and sneaker collection

Jun Takahashi teams up with Nike for the first time under his main label, Undercover.

The maiden Nike x Undercover collection will arrive sometime in June this year.

Jun Takahashi and Nike have established a decade-long working relationship thanks to their collaboration line, Gyakusou. This year, however, will mark the first time that the Japanese designer releases a collaboration collection with Nike under his main label, Undercover. While Gyakusou is a canvas for the designer to tap into his passion for running, the upcoming Nike x Undercover collection opens up the opportunity to explore a different design aspect through Undercover’s principles. The upcoming capsule features enchanting dark tones and technical fabrications in true Undercover fashion.

The collection comprises four garments – a short-sleeved and a long-sleeved top, a hooded tracksuit top, and trousers. Jun Takahashi puts forth his technical expertise by adding velcro tabs to each garment, allowing for a personalized fit. You have the option to wear them in different ways, whether it’s loose and oversized or streamlined. Putting his stamp on the collaboration effort, Jun Takahashi also unabashedly included Undercover’s signature “Chaos Balance” motif on each garment.

The Nike x Undercover collection will also feature the Nike Daybreak sneaker in seven colorways. In the meantime, we only have word that the collection will begin releasing on June 7. Check back with us in a few weeks for more information on the release.
