Nike has been reviving multiple silhouettes over the past year. From the Nike Air Monarch IV to the Nike Zoom 2k, older silhouettes just seem to rise in popularity the older they get. Originally released in 2010, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 SP may not be as old as the aforementioned styles, but thanks to the creative genius of Samuel Ross, the performance running sneaker came back with a bang in late 2018. However, as many sneakerheads may recall, the A Cold Wall x Nike Zoom Vomero 5 was either a miss for many due to the large back panel that Ross added. Some even took the drastic step of cutting off the piece of plastic.
For better or for worse, Nike has now announced that they are releasing the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 SP unadulterated. It will coming in two colorways, black and white. Featuring a mix of mesh, plastic and leather panels, the sneaker allows for optimal breathability. Hits of reflective 3M can be found on the toebox and heel of the sneaker for maximum visibility. All of these are placed on top of Cushlon foam and Zoom Air cushioning for total comfort.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 SP will be available on Nike.com on February 1. No retail price as of now but watch this space for updates.
