PUMA Thunder Electric will be available in two women’s exclusive colorways on July 26

The PUMA Thunder Electric women’s edition features a silhouette and colorways inspired by the flashy 90s.

The chunky silhouette was inspired by both the PUMA Cell System as well as the PUMA x Alexander McQueen collaboration.

Following the popular chunky sneaker trend, PUMA has released the Thunder Electric silhouette for women. The shoes will feature grey nubuck leather overlays, brown and tan accents as well as a metallic Puma stripe either in lavender or gray.

Other aesthetic details include a metallic blue heel as well as PUMA branding on its heel tab and tongue. In true dad shoe style, the Thunder Electric will also feature a chunky midsole as well as an integrated lacing system to help keep the sneaker locked in place.

The PUMA Thunder Electric was first released earlier on June 21, in men’s sizing. According to Highsnobiety, the shoes were named the Thunder Electric as the design aims to “reflect the electrifying power of lightning” – elements which can be seen on the sneaker’s metallic design.
