The German sportswear brand has an impressive stable of collaborators, ranging from The Weeknd, Big Sean and Rihanna, to Diamond Supply Co., Han Kjobenhavn and Outlaw Moscow, among others. This year, LA streetwear brand Chinatown Market joins the ranks. The brand, founded by Mike Cherman (formerly of ICNY), has fast established itself as a cultloved all over the world thanks to its playful graphics and bootleg-inspired designs. Who can forget the brand’s viral video customizing apparel and shoes with a printing gun? While they won’t be doing anything of that sort for the Puma x Chinatown Market collaboration collection, the DIY-aesthetic remains. Check out some of the key styles below.
The Puma x Chinatown Market collaboration takes on a number of the sportswear brand’s iconic silhouettes. The footwear collection comprises the classic Suede and Ralph Sampson Lo, newer models like the Storm, and even sandals for that perfect summer dress down. At first glance, you’ll notice that the collection exudes a familiar old school streetwear vibe. The Suede for one, features an all-over black and yellow checkered pattern. The Ralph Sampson Lo, on the other hand, comes in two clean colorways – black and white – with multi-colored interchangeable Formstripes that fit Chinatown Market’s DIY aesthetic.
The collection will also feature a trendy apparel range, featuring color-blocking and checkered prints on sporty silhouettes such as track tops and pants, crew neck tees, along with tote bags and caps. Cop the collection when it drops in Singapore on July 11. Prices for the sneakers start at S$129, while the apparel and accessories line start at S$55.
