I’ll take two of everything! Sacai’s Nike Blazer collaboration is all about seeing double

The Sacai x Nike Blazer is blessed with double the details.

Sacai doubles up on the details on the Nike Blazer.

Update: January 21, 12pm (Singapore Time)

Sacai showed off new colorways of their Nike collaboration at their recent Paris Fashion Week 2019 show. The shoe will come in black and white colorways, and both the Waffle Racer and Blazer silhouettes were present at the runway.

New details such as fur lining along the laces of the Waffle Racer were also spotted. We cannot confirm whether this will be applied to the retail release or if it is a one-off for the runway show. The Blazer in white also featured a zipper closure instead of a traditional lacing system. Once again, we are unable to confirm whether this detail can be found on the retail release.

Sacai is part of Nike’s initiative to include more female designers on its collaboration roster for 2019.

Japanese label Sacai will be teaming up with Nike to release a Blazer in 2019 which was previewed earlier this year at the label’s Spring 2019 menswear show. Sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts were stunned upon seeing the reinterpreted iteration of the blazer.

Ever the fashion-forward brand that it is, Sacai has doubled up on everything on the Nike Blazer. Consequently, the Sacai x Nike Blazer will have two tongues, two laces, two Swooshes and stacked midsoles. The shoe comes in two colorways that are slated to drop in 2019, a blue with black and white accents and a yellow with red and blue accents. Leather seems to be the material of choice for the upper on the Sacai x Nike Blazer.
