Darker Than Wax Curates “Genre-Defying” Line-Up for Sing Jazz 2016

So you can expect underground jazz artists and a lot more local acts from the Singapore International Jazz Festival this year.

This year’s edition of the Singapore International Jazz Festival (Sing Jazz), from March 4th to 6th, will be unlike past years’.

Festival organizers have collaborated with music collective, Darker Than Wax, to curate a “genre-defying” first evening, during which it will have its own stage presenting underground jazz artists such as Bad Bad Not Good, Taylor McFerrin, Hiatus Kaiyote and Charlie Lim.

Also different is the fact that Sing Jazz 2016 attendees will be acquainted to Singapore acts on each of the three evenings that the festival spans. Termed Lush Limelight, this showcase of local acts is made possible by Singapore’s Indie music station, Lush99.5 FM. Performers include Tim De Cotta & Dru Chen, Weish, The Good Life Project feat. Vandetta, and breakout acts such as Intriguant, Tribal Tide, Fauxe and Mediocre Haircut Crew.

All this, in addition to big name performers such as Joss Stone, Jeremy Monteiro & Friends, Enrico Rava, and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, makes Sing Jazz 2016 a must not miss event.
