With the rise of the regional fashion scene, here’s a list of five Singapore streetwear brands to add to your watchlist.

The past few years have seen a rise in local and regional fashion labels. With artists and designers all around us, more brands are bound to come up sooner or later. For now, here are five Singapore streetwear brands you should know about.

1) SBTG Surplus & Co.

Founded by Mark Ong a.k.a Mr. Sabotage, SBTG Surplus & Co. is home to a range of customized apparel and accessories. What began as a sneaker customization brand has become a full-fledgedcarrying t-shirts, flannels, hats, bags, and small accessories.

2) Die Hard Lover


Having recently made its way into Actually’s store at Orchard Gateway, Die Hard Lover is definitely a brand to watch. The brainchild of local artist Lydia Yang a.k.a Oak and Bindi (also of Tell Your Children fame), the brand boasts vintage designs, as well as her her iconic illustrating style. Die Hard Lover’s latest collection, “Traits of a Gemini”, includes a range of t-shirts with impressive graphics.

More recently, Lydia collaborated with Everpress on a t-shirt design. Titled “A Tribute to Los Angeles”, the key graphic can be found on the back of the tee. Get yours on the Everpress store.

3) CHPLCO

CHPLCO is a skateboarding inspired brand that never disappoints with its pristine collections. From t-shirts to hoodies, to coach jackets and caps, the label plays with minimal color palettes and designs containing a lot of type and subtle graphics. CHPLCO has collaborated with Hancai Clothing as well as The Corner Shop in its past collections.

4) Hancai Clothing

From River Valley Road comes Hancai, a local streetwear brand set to win your heart with its array of loud and graphics with hidden messages. You can also expect some daring promotional photos from the brand, as they even take it to the middle of the road for some of their campaign photos.

5) Hypethetic

Hypethetic is set to make its comeback this Saturday at Sole Superior with its latest collection titled “After Life”. The capsule channels 90s vibes with a t-shirt and a work-shirt. You can shop the collection at Sole Superior or drop Hypethetic a DM on Instagram to pre-order.
