Takashi Murakami’s Singapore exhibition also comes with a themed merch store

Takashi Murakami’s Singapore show runs from July 13 to September 14 at STPI.

This Merciless World, 2014. Acrylic on canvas mounted on aluminum frame, 1990 x 1530 x 50.8 mm.

“From Superflat to Bubblewrap” is an exhibition that explores the dynamic practice of Murakami, one of the most notable artists emerging from post-war Japan and a palpable force in the world of contemporary art today.

The show will be supported by an array of public programs including an exclusive artist talk, panel discussion, film screenings, printmaking workshops and guided tours in multiple languages.

Of course, no Murakami exhibition is complete without merchandise people can own. Fans of the artist will be relieved to know they can shop at a Murakami-themed merchandise store – hopefully we don’t see these items on Carousell, but then again, what are the odds of this not happening?

Tickets to the exhibition, priced at S$8 for single entry, are available to pre-order here.
