The Weeknd’s “I Feel It Coming” Video Features Kiko Mizuhara

“I Feel It Coming”, the standout chart-topper from The Weeknd’s Starboy album featuring Daft Punk, finally gets the visual treatment it deserves.

The “I Feel It Coming” video was shot on a futuristic set, but the video was finished with old-school 80s VHS effect.

The video opens with The Weeknd in a Balmain military jacket, going about his oddly endearing dad-dancing. Soon a slinky, glowing Kiko Mizuhara, joins the Starboy for a dance.

Their time together is cut short, however, due no thanks to the arrival of a badly timed solar eclipse that results in the lovers to stone.

The music video director, Warren Fu, told Billboard that the scene was inspired by Pompeii. “I was thinking conceptually of the people who were entombed in the volcanic ash of Mt. Vesuvius… that pose,” he said.

Daft Punk makes a Kylo Ren-esque cameo at the end of the video, featuring the same set but frozen over. They look down at something buried beneath the ice, and a neon glow comes through. Then, the beginning of “Starboy” starts playing in the background and then slowly fades to silence at the end.

Could it be the prelude to another release? You decide.
