Confirmed: Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 collaboration will drop globally on May 11

We finally have a release date locked down for the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 collaboration.

The rapper continues his successful run of sneaker releases in partnership with Jordan brand.

Nike has given the official word on the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 release, with a drop date set for May 11. We’ve known all along that the sneaker is coming. In fact, the rapper revealed the sneaker on his Instagram stories as early as October 2018. While some got lucky this week after a surprise drop on Travis’ website to commemorate his birthday, for the rest of us, the competition will likely be fierce come drop day. But don’t give up just yet; here’s a detailed look at the sneaker to get you pumped up for a “W”.

The most significant feature on the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 has to be the reverse Swoosh on the lateral sides of the sneaker. But let’s not understate the earth-toned overlays that complement the pristine white tumbled leather. The sneaker also features a concealed pocket with velcro closure on the inside of the collar that acts as a storage unit – don’t expect to slip too many things in it though. While the co-branding touches are subtle, in-line with the color scheme, a number of Travis’ hand-sketched “Cactus Jack” logo appears on the sneaker, namely the tongue, insole and mid-panel along with the face logo embossed on the heel.

The Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 will release globally on May 11, with a range of apparel to boot. While we have no information yet for a launch in Singapore, check out the global release details on Nike news. We’ll keep you in the loop when more information comes through.
