The short film features songs from Scott’s Billboard number one album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.
The film, directed by Fleur Fortune, opens with Scott engaging in a heated argument with his girlfriend, resulting in the artiste’s solo drive across town.
Things take a turn for the strange when the musician gets into a car accident only to return to a surreal world, with crumbling buildings, cyborgs, and cars crashing into each other – all this while Scott’s “Sweet Sweet” and “The Ends” plays in the background.
Scott first talked about the Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight film in July 2016. In an interview with Shade 45, he said, “You know I’m always into film and I’m doing a short film with this album. I’m putting that out with the album. That’s also what’s taking it so long. I just shot it and s**t. And it’s like a long, lengthy film.”
Other endeavors keeping the musician busy: a capsule collection made in collaboration with Helmut Lang released in February this year and a third album, Astroworld also due sometime this year.
