Model: Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 “White”
Drop date: January 8
Approx. price: S$259
As a follow up to their 2017 release, Undefeated has dropped two new Air Max 97s at the start of 2021. This “White” colorway completes the three-sneaker collection. The “Neon” and “Militia Green” colorways dropped exclusively on Undefeated’s website.
The Los Angeles-based label drew inspiration from UCLA, the state’s prominent college. The sneaker gets thin blue and Midwest gold panels across the mid-section of the upper together with a monogram of their logo — their signature design cue. Like its predecessor, a unique Undefeated x Nike emblem is printed on both sides of the sneaker, symbolizing their long-standing partnership.
Avant-garde meets streetwear: Undefeated first tinkered with the forward-thinking silhouette in 2017. Its combination of deep greens and reds added a touch of luxury that worked well with black or white bases. A tasteful collaboration that easily fetched US$700 (approx. S$988) on secondary markets.
Final note: Fans of the OG white colorway should consider the new Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 “White”. You’ll get to rock a similar look without having to pay the S$700 resale mark up.
