Customized personally by Abloh, the sneakers feature Kipchoge’s race time of 2:03:32 within quotation marks, a hallmark of the Off-White founder.
In addition to his race time, Abloh also wrote Kipchoge’s name in marker on the sneaker’s midsole.
Although he came in first at the Berlin Marathon, Kipchoge failed to beat the world record of 2:02:57, set by Dennis Kimetto. Kipchoge was also recently featured in the NatGeo x Nike documentary, Breaking2.
The Nike Zoom Fly will be part of the Off-White x Nike “The Ten” collection. The collection will drop in NikeLab stores and select retailers this November.
