Yeezy insider Yeezy Mafia is back again with news that there will be fresh colorways of the Yeezy Boost 700 sneakers, also known as Wave Runners, heading for us soon. Dubbed “Magnet” and “Teal Blue”, the two sneakers share the same silhouette but with subtle differences.
The Yeezy Boost 700 “Magnet” deviates greatly from its predecessors mainly because of its uppers. Instead of the conventional mesh, a woven material is used for the upper. This unique upper is outfitted in a very familiar earth-tone palette that is achieved by overlaying grey and tan suede panels and luxurious leather. To complete the shoe’s futuristic look, reflective 3M materials are featured near the heels and medial sides as well.
The Yeezy Boost 700 “Teal Blue” stands out with its brighter colorway, while sticking to the technical mesh uppers past Yeezy Wave Runner models are used to. The upper on this pair is outfitted with a light grey base that is layered with darker shades of teal and grey nubuck panels. The contrasting orange laces offer a much-needed pop of color. It goes without saying that both the models come with Boost midsoles and gum rubber outsoles.
The Yeezy Boost 700 “Magnet” is slated to be released this coming September, while the “Teal Blue” has yet to get an official release date. Do stay tuned for updates.
