Looks like Kanye can add “jewelry designer” to his growing set of skills.
Inspired by 14th century Florentine art, the Yeezy jewelry collection boasts a range of products including necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Additionally, each piece in the yellow-gold jewelry line is composed of 18-karat gold – making it the most luxurious collection the musician has released.
The jewelry pieces include a number of biblical etchings including that of the Virgin Mary, as well as other biblical figures.
In an interview with Vogue, the musician explained that he wanted “to create something that represented timeless love”. A romantic and thoughtful enough gesture when you notice that the rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has been sporting pieces from the jewelry line at a number of events from the MTV VMA’s to the Yeezy Season 4 runway show, reports the Times.
Expect the ‘Ye designed jewelry line to carry a hefty price tag ranging from US$4,810 (approx. S$6,763) for smaller sized pendants to US$11, 180 (approx. S$15, 719) for larger sized pendants. Rings from the musician’s latest collection will set you back anywhere between US$1,530 (approx. S$2,151) and US$4,060 (approx. S$5,708).
