One for the traditionalists: The ZX8000 borrows from traditional jacquard weaving techniques that can be traced back to a 19th century French town named Vieux Lyon, or “Old Lyon”, known as the largest Renaissance district of Lyon. Combined with modern manufacturing techniques, this ZX8000 gets jacquard-inspired embroideries all across the purple and grey upper and a jacquard-print insole. Black leather in the sock liner gives the shoe an added touch of luxury.
As expected from the ZX8000, the sneaker gets a translucent heel counter layered over the grey fabric heel and a midsole packed with Torsion technology that’s paired with Soft Cell cushioning. This gives the ZX8000 the running line’s signature balance of comfort, impact protection and stability.
Series of limited editions: The ZX8000 Vieux Lyon is part of the A-ZX series, which has since 2020 introduced unique concepts and collaborations between Adidas and popular labels such as Concepts and Dead Hype. Each creation has been a fresh take on the ZX shoe, turning the performance runners into head-turning lifestyle kicks.
Final note: Since traveling is out of the question, you can have the world at your feet with the Adidas ZX8000 Vieux Lyon, which is reminiscent of Europe’s picturesque alleyways and cobbled streets.
