Halloween Rave Underground 2016

The anonymous individuals behind Halloween Rave Underground return with a ninth edition that’s “3 times the BANG”. Details have been deliberately kept a secret, but what we do know is that it won’t be held at the same location as its previous parties, nor will the party take place at a club. A “haunted” mansion has been earmarked for this mega rave party and veteran guest DJs are set to bring the house down with a huge selection of tunes. Scream Queen FilmFest Tokyo

What are halloween parties without a good scream? The annual Scream Queen FilmFest Tokyo makes its international debut right here in Singapore. As the only female-centric genre film festival in Asia, it hopes to support the underrepresented voices of women genre filmmakers over three days of film screenings. Each screening consists of one feature-length and 20 short films from around the world that belong to the horror genre. Book your tickets here.

Golden Village Horrorthon 2016

Few things scare people as much as ghost children and zombies, which is why Golden Village has lined up four evenings of horror film screenings with stomach-churning and spine-tinging titles. “Children of the Dead” sees The Tag-Along and Sensoria being aired, while “Zombies on Board” will feature the recent box office hit Train to Busan and Seoul Station. Cirque Le Soir

Rooftop skybar CÉ LA VI will be home to Cirque Le Soir this Saturday, with magicians, clowns, sword swallowers and plenty of other death-defying acts happening at this freak circus. Singapore Halloween Festival

Fort Canning Park, no stranger to scary tales and spooky vibes, will play host to an impressive 12 hours of Halloween fun that involve a mock-up cemetery and a zombie maze. Time will pass quickly as the Halloween Festival includes day and night live DJ sets, a giant picnic lawn with extensive food and beverage options and a pop-up flea market will definitely attract a huge turnout. Zouk Halloween 2016: The Scream Diner

Zouk’s premises at Jiak Kim Street will be transformed (for one last time before its big move to Clarke Quay) into “The Scream Diner”, an eerie visual spectacle of all things gory. Revelers are invited to to experience this over-the-top horror event, with role-plays and performances set to take place across all rooms. Come in Halloween garb for free entry and who knows, you might even walk away with best-dressed prizes; there’s SS15,000 worth of stash up for grabs! Details can be found here.

Canvas x Good Times present Fight The Power Halloween Special

The crew from Good Times has joined forces with Canvas for a night of bass and beats that will not bore you to death. On deck duty are Drem, Intriguant, Senja, S.O.F, Mr. Boo and Mean, who will each dish a variety of sounds ranging from boom bap to trap, keeping you moving and grooving all the way through the night. Organized by the peeps at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club and Decker Barbecue, this party celebrates the Mexican holiday that is Dia de los Muertos aka Day of the Dead. If you’re not tired of halloween parties by the time next week rolls around, head up to Emily Hill for Dia de Muertos celebrations – an evening of Mexican music, dance performances and live art displays.
