Who would have thought basketball and football would come together to make a collaborative sneaker? Well, football club Paris Saint-Germain and basketball footwear giant Jordan brand are here to prove otherwise. They have already launched Air Jordan 1 and 5 models as part of their three-year deal. This time, the two are continuing their partnership by putting a fresh spin on the ever-popular Air Jordan 6 silhouette.
The Air Jordan 6 PSG is fitted with a light grey suede upper as its base, with black suede overlays. Hints of scarlet red in the form of the Jumpman branding and the Jordan 6’s toggle closure go on to complete the shoes. Other subtle details include the satin tongues as well as the red heel tag that reads “Paname”. According to Jordan brand VP of design David Creech, the youth of Paris use the term “Paname” to refer to ‘the city on the edges of the city’ – where youth culture and energy is said to be found.
Priced at S$349, the Air Jordan 6 PSG will be released at select retailers on July 27. You can stand a chance of purchasing these shoes by entering the End Launches raffle here.
