Following the release of the highly anticipated Fragment x Clot Nike Dunk Low on June 14, Clot is set to drop another Nike Dunk, which is made of cork, in Singapore. Edison Chen, the founder of the Hong Kong streetwear brand, teased the shoe on his Instagram, showing a heel angle of the upcoming shoes.
The Clot x Nike Dunk Low features a unique upper that is made with cork on its side panels, heels and toe boxes with a muted brown lining on the inside of the shoe. Similar to the Fragment x Clot Nike Dunk Low, which has a tearable upper, these kicks have a special feature as well: detachable, wrap-around velcro Swooshes. This aligns with Edison Chen’s vision for the shoes, as he wants wearers to, “Style the Swoosh like it’s yours.” Each pair will arrive with five additional Swooshes that are made of unique materials like snakeskin and leather, and two pairs of shoelaces come with the shoes.
The shoes also feature heel flaps, that when flipped, reveal the printed years “2003” and “2023”, which alludes to Clot’s 20th anniversary. The upper is complemented by eggshell-colored midsoles and the shoe is completed with all-brown treading.
Clot’s Instagram page has announced that the kicks will drop on June 23 – matching the “2023” print on the shoes which coincides with Clot’s anniversary. Stay tuned for more details on the Singapore drop of the Clot x Nike Dunk Low.
