Style has been quietly shifting away from logos and loud status symbols, and G-SHOCK’s latest drop is right on time. The G-SHOCK Luxe Black 2100 series trades in-your-face branding for something more considered, proving that real style speaks for itself.

The GM-2100LXB and GA-2100LXB take the icon we already know – the boxy, octagonal 2100 silhouette – and dress it down in an all-black monochrome finish. It’s the same tough-as-nails DNA G-SHOCK is known for, just given a more grown-up, tastemaker-approved makeover.

The Look

CASIO

Where past 2100 releases have leaned into colour and contrast, the Luxe Black flips the script entirely. Matte black dials minimise reflection across both models, while newly developed hands and indexes catch just enough light to keep things from looking flat. It’s a design that rewards a second look, the kind of watch where the character reveals itself in the texture and proportion rather than a bold logo.

The GM-2100LXB is the dressier of the two, finished with a hairline-textured metal bezel in black ion plating, paired with either silver or gold accents for a bit of quiet contrast against all that black. The GA-2100LXB keeps things more casual with a matte-finished octagonal bezel and band, its metallic vapor-deposited indexes adding just enough depth without breaking from that streamlined, everyday-ready look.

Both models also fold bio-based resin into key bezel and band components, a small but deliberate move toward a lighter environmental footprint, without giving up any of that signature G-SHOCK durability.

The Tech

CASIO

Underneath the refined finish, it’s business as usual for G-SHOCK. Both watches come loaded with shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, a stopwatch/timer, and 48-city World Time with an unobstructed Hand Shift feature so the display never gets in the way of city selection. Double LED Super Illuminator lighting and storage for up to five daily alarms round out the everyday functionality, keeping the Luxe Black 2100 as practical as it is polished.

It all adds up to a series built for those who want a watch that lasts well beyond a single season, one that leans into quiet confidence over statement-making, and craftsmanship over trend-chasing.

The G-SHOCKLuxe Black 2100 series is now available in G-SHOCK stores in Singapore.
