Korean Rapper Jay Park Signs with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Jay Park is the first Asian-American to sign with Roc Nation.

Hip-hop artist Jay Park announced his signing to Roc Nation on Instagram two days ago.

The post features him posing for a shot in the Roc Nation HQ. In the caption, Park thanked his fans for their support and said that he was just getting started.

“This is a win for the Town / This is a win for Korea / This is a win for Asian Americans,” he wrote in his Instagram post.

A former member of South Korean boy band 2PM, the Korean-American rapper has been turning heads since the launch of his solo career.

Park, who is able to perform in Korean and English, rose steadily to the top of the international hip-hop scene with hit tracks like “MOMMAE” and “You Know”.

Besides announcing his signing, Park also debuted a new music video for “Most Hated” on YouTube (see below).

Park is the first Asian-American to sign with Roc Nation, a record company founded by Jay-Z.

Other talents in the company include Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Big Sean, J. Cole, and Lil Wayne.
