Last month, Kanye West sprung a surprise with his last-minute Yeezy Season 2 show at New York Fashion Week. Today, he did the same with the release of two new songs via his once-dormant SoundCloud account.
Though these tracks by Kanye West aren’t exactly new, considering that they take references from his previously released material, they’re genuinely worth a listen.
“Say You Will” is a reworked version of the track of the same name from the 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak, and this remake now features fitting vocals from violinist-singer Caroline Shaw.
The second track, “When I See It”, follows closely to The Weeknd’s “Tell Your Friends” that was produced by West and released earlier this year.
West has not made any announcement about his latest releases, though longtime collaborator Travis Scott posted about it on his Instagram with the misspelled caption “It’s starts”. With intentions unclear, all we can do for now is sit back and enjoy these tunes.
