The first Singapore drop, slated for June 26, consists of ready-to-wear apparel, leather items, footwear and accessories. The collection celebrates the travel-centric core of LV, and observes the London Mod-era dandy through a Tokyo lens.
Nigo fans will not miss the tributes to Nigo’s streetwear brand Human Made and artist Verdy’s creation of the “Louis Vuitton2” lettering applied to select pieces in this collection.
Here are all the pieces that are part of Wave 1.
The bags offered as part of the Louis Vuitton Squared collection retain LV’s classic silhouettes – keepall, backpacks, cross-body and weekend styles. What’s new is they feature a hybrid design which is made by fusing two signature Louis Vuitton patterns – the Monogram pattern and the Damier check. For fans of LV, this is a throwback to the early days of the House’s heritage. Key emblems like the LV2 can also be spotted on the bags.
The fusion of the LV Damier checks and Monogram pattern are also applied to a range of apparel – shirts, jackets, trousers – in blue or black denim. Part of the range are some new silhouettes that are obviously developed from and inspired by streetwear. Besides the denim pieces, Nigo and Virgil have created a selection of pullovers, a button-up shirt and a blouson that feature the Louis Vuitton Squared emblems.
The collection offers a range of covetable accessories and small leather goods. Select pieces also carry a “LV Made” duck emblem, a firm nod to Nigo’s brand Human Made. We imagine the sun hats, the earphone case and the Duck Figurine will be crowd favorites.
Footwear
The collaboration offers footwear in leather material or the Monogram Canvas. The Voltaire range of leather derby shoes and loafers are sharp, but we expect the LV Cosy Mule, which comes in two versions, one wool-lined and one without the wool line, to be the unexpectedly popular choice of the footwear range.
