The Nike: ON Air workshop will be hosted in various fashion capitals such as Paris, London, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
Participants will learn the art of concept development, silhouette selection, material and color exploration, and embellishment at the workshop.
According to Kicks on Fire, participants will be able to design all 10 pairs of Nike Air Max silhouettes including the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 180, Air Max BW, Air Max 93, Air Max 95, Air Max 97, Air Max 98, Air Max 270, and the Air VaporMax Plus.
After the workshop, a panel of judges comprising various Nike designers and ambassadors will select the top 3 designs from each city, where a voting competition styled similarly to the 2017 “Vote Forward” campaign will take place.
The winning design from each city will be available for public purchase much like Sean Wortherspoon’s winning sneaker design; the winner of last year’s competition.
