Retro Reebok sneakers we hope will return

Reebok has a found a new home with Authentic Brands Group, which is owned by Shaquille O’Neal. Could this mean the return of coveted retro Reebok basketball sneakers? We hope so.

Reebok has found a new home with Authentic Brands Group (ABG) after it was acquired for $2.5 billion from Adidas. What you may not have known is that ABG is partly owned by long-time Reebok collaborator, Shaquille O’Neal. It has been Shaq’s dream to acquire the brand and he previously expressed that Adidas “diluted [Reebok] so much to where it’s almost gone” and “I want to bring them back to basketball and to fitness.” With the legendary NBA player behind the wheels of Reebok, could we see the return of the brand’s most iconic retro sneakers?
