Salehe Bembury took to Instagram to announce that his Crocs Pollex Clog in new colorways will drop this month. The post featured three short clips, each revealing one of three new colorways with the caption “May 🐊”. This will be the second drop after this collaboration debuted in 2021 to great success.
The three new colorways are named Crocodile, Stratus, and Urchin, which are shades of lime green, white and light purple, respectively. Apart from the new colors, the silhouettes remain the same, complete with fingerprint-inspired design and all.
Why this second drop matters? Well, it’s a chance to cop the wildly popular Salehe Bembury Crocs at retail prices. Pairs of the Salehe Bembury Crocs from 2021 are being resold for S$500 on platforms like StockX (peep these: Cucumber and Menemsha colorways). These resale prices don’t surprise us as these were super covetable when they dropped; plus, the use of bots made it more difficult for people to access the clogs.
Arguably, the Salehe Bembury collaboration with Crocs is one of the initiatives that fueled the resurgence of Crocs’ popularity. The ex-Versace designer has been known for some other head-turning collabs, especially his work on the New Balance 2002R and a custom trail-ready 574 ‘Yurt’.
