It all began in Paris: The Yeezy 450, or 451 as it was previously called, were first seen on Kanye West’s feet during Paris Fashion Week. Its global unveiling was forever immortalized by the video of Ye jumping over a puddle to keep them fresh.
Early images gave us a closer look at the Yeezy 450’s boundary-pushing design that matched a full knitted upper and hiking ready outsole.
The most striking design detail is the midsole’s molded design that stretches into the upper.
Through a post in August 2019, Ye revealed that legendary sneaker designer Steven Smith was working on the sneaker. At that moment, Smith was reworking the outsole design.
As of March 1, @Yeezymafia shared that the Yeezy 450 will arrive in a “Cloud White” colorway on March 6 and will receive a second drop in September or October 2021. They also disclosed that the sneaker will be made in Germany.
Final note: The Yeezy 450 leaks reveal a never before seen design could potentially push the boundaries of sneaker design, like the Yeezy Boost 350 did when it debuted. Only time will tell!
