CASIO has officially planted its flag in one of Singapore’s most iconic retail destinations with the opening of the new G-SHOCK Premium Store at Marina Bay Sands, #B2-90B.
More than just a retail space, this first-of-its-kind concept store represents CASIO’s most ambitious exploration of luxury watchmaking retail to date. It houses the Japanese legacy watchmaker’s most exquisite timepieces, from signature core models to the coveted, elevated MRG and MTG lines, in a setting that mirrors the sophistication of the engineering within.
Aspiring to transcend the traditional retail experience, the store’s interior is a carefully considered study in modern Japanese minimalism. The design vocabulary articulates the brand’s fundamental philosophy: a harmonious balance between resilience and refinement.
The space features clean lines and carefully proportioned spaces, grounded by a dark, refined material palette rich in textures and sophisticated finishes. In a subtle nod to its pedigree, bespoke references to traditional kumiko woodworking patterns are incorporated throughout the space. These geometric motifs symbolise the harmony between structural integrity and artistic beauty.
Every curatorial choice, from the ambient lighting to the tactile qualities of the materials, invites visitors to experience G-SHOCK not merely as functional instruments but as expressions of durability, performance, and timeless design.
To commemorate this milestone opening, CASIO has introduced an exclusive gift with purchase (GWP) as part of its ‘Mastered Over Time’ campaign.
Visitors who purchase any MRG timepiece at the new store will receive a specially commissioned Leather Watch Pouch, developed in collaboration with Kevin Seah (@kevinseahbespoke).
As an esteemed master craftsman, Seah’s bespoke creation draws inspiration from the MRG collection and G-SHOCK’s Japanese heritage. The pouch features kumiko dial patterns embossed directly into the leather surface, creating a tactile complement to the precision engineering of the watch it protects.
Following Kikuo Ibe’s recent visit to inaugurate the store, CASIO presents another exclusive gift with purchase: a G-STAND (Watch Display Stand) personally signed by the G-SHOCK founder, available online and in-store while stocks last.
