G-SHOCK and Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura present the fifth and latest addition in their collaborative portfolio: the GM-5600RH. The watch builds upon the GM-5600’s proven pedigree, whilst commemorating Hachimura’s representation of his Japanese heritage on basketball’s biggest stage.

The Design

The GM-5600RH transforms the classic metal-bezelled G-SHOCK silhouette into a timepiece as reliable as its namesake’s presence on the court. Its black foundation with strategic red accents symbolizes the passion and strength definitive of Hachimura’s own approach to his sport.

One of the watch’s highlights is its now-familiar ‘Black Samurai’ logo, combining the kanji character for eight (八) with a stylized katana blade forming the letter ‘H’. A symbol that appears prominently on both the watch face and case back, finished off with Hachimura’s signature engraved on the band loop.

The monochromatic foundation allows the red accents to dramatically contrast against the black body, a look strengthened by the ion plating treatment of the metal bezel.

Moreover, demonstrating CASIO’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the main resin components utilize bio-based materials made to reduce environmental impact without compromising the hallmark durability standards of G-SHOCK.
