A formal cross-over: K-pop star G-Dragon has never shied away from mixing up his footwear rotation. With his latest sneaker collab, the Peaceminusone x Nike Kwondo 1, he mixes up sneakers with formal footwear.
Prim and proper up top: At first glance, you’d think the Kwondo 1 is a finely crafted dress shoe. The white upper replicates the shape and paneling of an Oxford shoe with a wingtip.

Punk, street aesthetic below: Underneath that formal exterior, the sneaker achieves a streetwear and punk aesthetic with a platform midsole. Nike’s athletic influence appears in the form of stitching that attaches the midsole to the upper, lacing set up and a slight heel-to-toe drop.
An added touch of sophistication comes in the form of branded detachable lace flap. When attached, it helps hide the laces and gives the sneaker a smoother silhouette – which goes perfectly with a suit.
The outsole is shaped to resemble the footprint of a classic oxford with a clear cut out at the heel and smooth forefoot with no intricate traction pattern.
A color-matched Nike Swoosh appears on the lateral side, with more Nike branding added to the tongue tab. Peaceminusone logos are added to the lace flap, heel tab and outsole.
