Off-White has confirmed via Instagram the release of the Nike Air Force 1 Lemonade, which was originally nicknamed the University Gold colorway. The shoe will be available at select global Off-White boutiques and Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” art exhibition at The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston between July 3 and September 26.

Prepped for University: The new Off-White AF1 University Gold is structurally identical to the MCA University Blue colorway that dropped in 2019. The University Gold swaps the blue upper out for yellow, and each pair comes with Silver Swooshes.
Virgil Abloh applies minimal changes to the silhouette, giving the sneaker a double stitching Swoosh, exposed foam around the sock liner and tongue and “Air” print at the heel.
It’s been turning heads for a while: Even though it’s a new colorway applied to a familiar silhouette, the University Gold has been drawing the attention of sneakerheads for a while now, since they first appeared on Lebron’s feet at the 17th NBA All-Star Game.
Final note: If the MCA University Blue colorway is any indication, the Off-White x Nike AF1 University Gold will have a very limited run and will be hard to score.
Only 20 pairs of these Off-White Air Force 1: The Virgil Abloh x MCA Chicago x Cassius Hirst Nike Air Force 1 will set you back US$3,000
