Got an appetite for Supreme collectibles? Place your bid for these online now till October 18

There’s a Supreme accessories auction by the auctioneers, Phillips, that you can start bidding on now.

Supreme Tool Set: Starting bid is HK$20,000 (approx. S$3519.88).

The online auction titled “24/7” offers up loads of covetable collectibles from Supreme, Kaws, Takashi Murakami and Daniel Ashram waiting to go to the highest bidder.

The auction celebrates art’s influence on fashion and pop culture and runs until October 18, 6pm, Hong Kong time.

Items on the auction block have been contributed by collectors from the region. These include a seven-piece Supreme Dining Set from prolific Supreme collector Muhammad Fahim who contributed a total of 130 Supreme accessories to the auction.

The Supreme Dining Set consists of a bottle opener, salt and pepper shakers, a pack of toothpicks, “Fuck ’em” coasters, gold-rimmed bar glasses, sake set and stacking cups. If you’ve got the appetite to participate, the starting bid for this set is HK$15,000 (approx. S$2,639.91).

When asked why he has decided to let these pieces go, Fahim tells Straatosphere, “I’ve run out of space in my room.”

A set of sculptures by Matt Gondek will also make its international debut at the auction. The accessories and art pieces will be up for public viewing at the Phillips Hong Kong galleries throughout the duration of the auction, in conjunction with their exhibition “Tongue + Chic”.

“Tongue + Chic” will showcase one-of-a-kind sneakers designed by some of the most influential names from the contemporary art world – think artists like Kaws, Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, Dave White, Gucci Ghost Artist Trevor Andrew and fashion designer Pyer Moss, to name a few. This deviation from their usual mediums like paintings and sculptures serves to demonstrate the influence these artists have had on the sneaker and streetwear scene, while enabling art lovers to engage with a new medium.

“Tongue + Chic” and “24/7” celebrate the influence of art on fashion and utilitarian objects while providing an avenue for enthusiasts and trendsetters of the pop culture and urban fashion scene to view the pieces up close – and even own them.

Phillips also stay true to their mission to support local artists by commissioning Hong Kong visual artist Ernest Chang to create an original art piece for the exhibition. You can check out his work on Instagram @iamernestchang.

The “Tongue + Chic” exhibition will run from October 9 to 25 at Phillips’ Hong Kong galleries in the St. George’s Building. The “24/7” auction will run till October 18 on Phillips.com.
