Rock some heat on rainy days with the new Nike Air Force 1 GTX

The Nike Air Force 1 GTX and WTR GTX will drop on November 1, at 4pm (Singapore time).

The Nike Air Force GTX and WTR GTX will keep your feet dry no matter what is thrown at it.

The Nike Air Force 1 GTX and WTR GTX give you all of their retro goodness, but with extra durability and water resistance.

We must admit, many of the high durability sneakers we see on the shelves don’t exactly pack any heat or hype. So, adding them to our rotation for those messy, rainy days is more about practicality than aesthetics. Well with the new Air Force 1 GTX and WTR GTX, you can finally look forward to those rainy days.

Nike worked with UK-based artist, J Rick, to showcase the Air Force 1 WTR GTX.

Nike is dropping two versions of the Gore-Tex reinforced sneakers – the high top Air Force 1 WTR GTX and the low top Air Force 1 GTX. The mixed textile and leather uppers of both sneakers include a waterproof Gore-Tex layer, making them perfect for all weather conditions. Here is a closer look at them.

Nike Air Force 1 WTR GTX

This Air Force 1 is actually part of “The10th” collection we saw earlier this year. As such, it’s made with military-inspired practicality and utilitarianism in mind. The sneakers are built to keep your feet warm and dry even in the harshest of downpours. The sneaker’s uppers are crafted from weather-resistant leather on top of a ripstop in-sock bootie. At the top, you have an adjustable toggle drawstring to provide an extra seal, to prevent any water from seeping in.

The Nike Air Force 1 WTR GTX will come in three colorways – an olive/brown, a triple black and a phantom/clear colorway with translucent midsoles and swoosh. You can cop any of the three colorways for S$235 from November 1.

Nike Air Force 1 GTX

The Nike Air Force 1 GTX maintains the well-loved silhouette with reinforcements that will keep it fresh and clean regardless of what you put it through. The sneaker’s uppers are made from a mix of textile mesh and leather that has been reinforced with Gore-Tex. So, they’ll hold their retro vibes while keeping your feet nice and dry in a rainstorm. The sneakers come in four colorways – dynamic yellow, black, olive, and gold/khaki.

The black, olive and gold/khaki colorways are subtle and can be rocked as your daily sneaker. But the dynamic yellow is bound to turn heads with its bright colorway and clean looks. Plus, the Gore-Tex logo on the heel cap and tongue will really help your AF1 stand out from the crowd. You can cop any of the four colorways for S$195 from November 1.
