It’s already been a busy year for SBTG collaborations in 2024 – and we’re only (almost) five months in. The OG Singaporean streetwear designer, Mark Ong aka Mr Sabotage, has announced that he’ll be dropping four collaborations over the course of the next month, giving a masterclass in multi-tasking.
The designer took to Instagram to tease the coming collaborations and share some insight into the behind-the-scenes process and struggles that come with working alongside some of the industry’s biggest names.
Excitingly, one of the most anticipated partnerships, with streetwear store Carnival, drops this week. With a lot to look forward to over the coming weeks, let’s take a look at what we know so far.
SBTG and Carnival are teaming up to produce a line of apparel that combines their two utilitarian-influenced visual languages. The capsule collection comprises varsity jackets, oversized tees, hoodies and accessories including caps and bucket hats.
Distinct military influences run throughout the line, from its muted black, white, khaki-green and tan palette to the function-first design codes and oversized silhouettes.
Shop the collection from 27 April in-store at Carnival and on the official Carnival site.
Fans were treated to a first-look at the official SBTG X Vans shoe earlier this week. Staying true to the iconic Old Skool silhouette with a neutral-toned panelled upper. Signature SBTG details bring a fresh look to the design, including the label’s instantly recognizable bone motif at the toe box.
The shoe is dropping as part of the Barnes Asia Artist Collection, an initiative created with the goal of collaborating with talented Asian artists to put the spotlight on exciting talent and their unique art forms.
This collaboration is due to drop sometime in May and will be available to cop on the Vans site.
Following a successful link-up for the New Balance MT580 “Urban Island II” project, Limited Edt, Asics and SBTG announced in January that they’d be collaborating once again. This time, it’s the Asics Gel-Kayano 14 that’s getting the SBTG treatment in the “Monsoon Patrol” pack.
It comprises two colorways – “Black” and “Tan”, with both featuring the signature tech upper construction of mesh, leather and ripstop that’s set atop a rubber outsole with additional silicon coating.

This isn’t the first Monsoon Patrol in the books. The trio first teamed up in 2018 to produce the first installment, the Asics Tiger, before partnering up again in 2021 for the Asics Gel Lyte III.
No release dates have been confirmed for the SBTG x Limited Edt x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 “Monsoon Patrol” pack at this time, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any new information.
